The Chinese government has strongly reacted to the French television channel LCI's broadcast of a documentary about balloon espionage. The documentary, which aired on the French news channel LCI on April 8th, 2021, revealed that balloons equipped with cameras had been used by the Chinese government to spy on French citizens.
