On the 21st of May 2019, the Keep Our St Helier Hospital (KOSHH) Campaign held a public meeting in Epsom Methodist Church, to discuss the threats faced by Epsom Hospital and St Helier Hospital, and the wider NHS. The local Clinical Commissioning Groups in Sutton, Merton and Surrey Downs, and the Board of the Epsom & St Helier Trust are supporting, plans to remove all Acute services from BOTH Epsom and St Helier hospitals, possibly as soon as 2020. Acute services under threat include: A&E, Maternity, Paediatrics, Intensive Care, Cancer Care, Coronary Care, Emergency Surgery & Emergency Medicine. KOSHH founding member and NHS campaigner, Sandra Ash, made this powerful speech, opposing these plans. This is not only about a threat to our local hospitals, but also a threat to the very existence of our National Health Service. We CAN win this fight. We MUST win this fight. We WILL win this fight... Together! --------------------------------------------------------
