The Thrift Savings Plan or TSP is the Federal Employee retirement plan . It's equivalent to the 401k for Federal Employees. In 2018 you can contribute up to $18,500 into the Thrift Savings Plan. If you are over the age of 50 you can contribute an additional $6,000 bringing your total to $24,500.
