I know my strengths and weaknesses, and stocks certainly does not fall under the strengths category. Because of that, I consulted an expert and invested $100,000 of my own money into different companies I believe in. I invest through a SEP IRA because it lowers what I currently get taxed on. As a real estate investor and serial entrepreneur, I benefit more from lowering my taxable income now when I am making significant money as opposed to later on in life when I am looking to retire.
