Bob Chapman on Maine PERS bailout


The Maine Public Employee Retirement System (PERS) is asking tax payers for a $916 million bailout (about $700 for every man, woman and child in the state). The story being peddled is that the crisis was caused when the funds were raided in the 1970's but that is not the whole story.
