OCT 25, 2022: Fifi gave birth to four beautiful kittens today! Three tiny girls, and one tiny boy. All four have perfect palates and appear to be healthy. Mama did great, and we are thrilled this is the last time she will ever have to go through pregnancy and labor. Kitten weight chart: OCT 18, 2022: We have a new catermelon and are officially on #KittenWatch!! Rescue kitty Fifi had a family who loved her very much. When they had to move out of the country, they gave her to a friend, who then had to move and wasn't able to find pet-friendly housing. This is a HUGE problem in our area. They didn't know she was pregnant when they got her, but wanted to make sure she ended up somewhere safe when they weren't able to keep her. We are expecting 4 (or possibly 5) kittens to arrive in a week or so, although it could really happen at any time! Fifi is delightfully sweet, around a year old, and this is not her first litter of kittens. Thankfully, it will be her last. She and her kittens will all be spayed/neutered and adopted into loving homes. If we hadn't been able to trap her, she would have gotten pregnant over and over again until her body gave out. She would have watched 75% of her babies die from disease, predators, injury or starvation. Fortunately, it's easy to help cats like Candy, and prevent all of that suffering!
