What's New About the Thrift Savings Plan? | TSP November Webinar | Christy Capital Management

We’ve got a new webinar coming for you that’s all about the TSP: What’s new about the TSP? In reality, there is A LOT that’s new. They’ve redone their system. There’s a new mutual fund window. There are new ways to log in and access forms. We’re even going to look at some details about the C, S, and I fund and what’s actually in there. Needless to say, numerous things have changed so we’re going to go over them with you. And then, there’s going to be a discussion about “does it matter what you own?” The truth is, you don’t actually own the “C” fund or “S” fund. But with your funds, you own small portions of actual companies, so we want to discuss whether that even matters? The webinar is Tuesday, November 1st at 10:00 am EST. You can register at christycapital.com/webinar We hope to see you there! The information provided is not intended as tax or legal advice. As we approach the end of the year, it is important to stay up-to-date on any changes or updates to financial plans, including the Thrift Savings Plan (TSP). Christy Capital Management recently hosted a webinar in November discussing the new features and updates to the TSP. One of the most notable updates is the introduction of a new withdrawal option called "multiple partial withdrawals." This new option allows TSP participants to take out a portion of their account balance in multiple transactions, rather than one lump sum. This can give participants more control over their retirement income and allow them to better manage their tax liabilities. Another new feature is the implementation of automatic enrollment for new federal employees hired after September 30, 2020. This means that new employees will be automatically enrolled in the TSP with a contribution rate of 5%, unless they choose to opt-out or change their contribution rate. This can help increase retirement savings for those who may not have previously enrolled in the TSP. The webinar also touched on the importance of diversification within the TSP. The TSP now offers more investment options, including a new fund called the "Lifecycle 2065 Fund," which is designed for participants who will retire around the year 2065. It is important to consider diversification when investing in the TSP, as it can help mitigate risk and provide more stable long-term growth. Lastly, the TSP has also introduced a new mobile app, which allows participants to easily access their account information, change contribution rates, and review performance. This can provide more convenient and efficient account management for participants on-the-go. Overall, the TSP has implemented several new updates to help participants better manage their retirement savings and increase their financial stability. As we approach the end of the year, it is important to review and adjust your financial plans accordingly, and consider taking advantage of these new TSP features. https://inflationprotection.org/whats-new-about-the-thrift-savings-plan-tsp-november-webinar-christy-capital-management/?feed_id=79409&_unique_id=64167f8dea4b6 #Inflation #Retirement #GoldIRA #Wealth #Investing #BrandonChristy #federalbenefitstraining #federalretirement #federalretirementtraining #fersplanning #fersretirement #FERStraining #RBI #RetirementBenefitsInstitute #retirementplanning #ThriftSavingsPlan #BrandonChristy #federalbenefitstraining #federalretirement #federalretirementtraining #fersplanning #fersretirement #FERStraining #RBI #RetirementBenefitsInstitute #retirementplanning
