The Division of Pay and Benefits within the Office of Human Capital will host an exciting seminar on the Thrift Savings Plan (TSP) on Thursday, October 4th, 2018. Come and learn steps to prepare for retirement including how to turn your TSP savings into income; TSP income options; rules to withdraw from your TSP account and much more! The Thrift Savings Plan (TSP) is a retirement savings plan for federal employees and members of the uniformed services. On October 4th, 2018, a Pre-Separation Workshop was held to assist individuals who are planning to separate from their federal careers. The Pre-Separation Workshop provided information on a variety of topics, including how to withdraw funds from the TSP account, how to rollover the funds into another retirement account, and how to calculate the account balance. Additionally, the workshop covered topics related to taxation, including how to calculate taxes on withdrawals, how to minimize tax obligations, and how to calculate required minimum distributions.
