The Radcliffe Lightweight rowing team secured a silver medal at the Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) National Championships in California last week. The team, consisting of coxswain Kate O’Brien, stroke Cristina Warren, 7-seat Angela Westover, 6-seat Katharine Foley, 5-seat Emma Framson, 4-seat Kaitlyn McElroy, 3-seat Maya Campbell, 2-seat Kaja Skarzynska, and bow Jennifer Krueger, started strong and held the lead for the first 1,500 meters of the race. However, they were overtaken by their rivals, Stanford University, in the last 500 meters of the 2,000-meter race.
